Targeted Response Time

So this is a personal issue when we live in the digital age. An age when you can even schedule a response or indeed send an automatic response.

The image for this post is that of a typewriter. All that’s missing is an envelope to make it even more tongue in cheek… but

Response time to a customer, enquiry, social media message, email during business hours or recruitment etc. Should be immediate if not within 60 minutes. Even if you cannot answer the immediate requirements or can only give an 80% response – then respond and do it quickly.

We don’t use the newly named snail mail or an old fashioned telegram anymore. Which might take a day or 2 – digital means we can respond instantly and this should be expected too.
