The Hotel π¨
The Huntingdon Marriott is a motorway hotel, of sorts, situated on the A1/A14 intersection on the outskirts of Huntingdon. That’s Huntingdon Cambridgeshire, England, UK and is probably the most perfunctory Marriott left in the UK, not situated at an Airport
Outside View of the Marriott Hotel in Huntingdon Cambridgeshire

Despite the location and its road side location, little or noise can be heard whilst inside the hotel. Don’t remember anything but double glazing, but the hotel does sit lower away from the roadside.
Wait for it… I said perfunctory, but the hotel has a nicely equipped gym ποΈand a pool π
Also, great little bit of Free parking, always a winner at a chain hotel.
The Bedroom & Bed + Sleep Quality
As with every Marriott, mattress and bed are class leading. Be mindful due to the height and depth, jumping up and in may be required for the shorter traveller. Ample number of pillows both on the bed and spare in the open wardrobe. This was, however, a Double Bed on the small side.
A good nights sleep won’t be an issue. Little or no noises not even from the bedroom fan, never mind A Roads.
Anyone who struggles to sleep in this hotel or that bed – will struggle to sleep anywhere.

Dining In – Breakfast
Relatively Standard Breakfast Buffet – Hot food was plated which meant, ordering what you want cooked how you like it. The Buffet is not memorable for any reason though. Solid 3 Star Hotel Breakfast, not a note worthy 4 star Hotel Breakfast.
The Cost
Β£89 or in this case, free with Marriott Rewards = fit for purpose
The Ever Lasting Memory
The Leisure facilities are probably better than you would expect, so don’t forget your costume/shorts.
The word perfunctory is as useful description for the memory of the hotel too.
The Verdict
β β β ββ Just another Marriott, clean, good bed and did what it needed to do
